From the beginning of time God has given mankind the choice to either follow Him or not. Since Adam and Eve sinned in the ‘Garden of Eden’ the devil has rained havoc on this world and is still trying to keep souls from God’s kingdom. Satan’s main goal is to steal, kill and destroy but Jesus came that you may have life and that you may have it more abundantly (John 10:10).
Before I knew I became a Christian my parents took us to church every Sunday. I learned of Jesus and who He was and what He had done at the cross for me. But I missed the part that I had to make the choice myself. I thought I was a Christian because I went to church most every Sunday. As an adult I drifted away from church as it had become just a tradition to me. I never realized that I had to make a personal choice to accept Jesus as Lord. You see, it’s not enough to know that there is a God. Even the devil knows that.
Do not be deceived with the belief that there are many ways to heaven. Jesus would be very politically incorrect in today’s society as He said; “I am the way, the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me”. In Mathew 7:13-14 Jesus says, “Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it. Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it.” Please understand that your opportunity for salvation ends when you die. If you die without Jesus you will suffer the same fate that Satan will by being cast into the ‘Lake of Fire’ and be tormented day and night forever. Rev 20:10-15 Forever is a long time. Think about it. Make it a priority to know the truth.
The bottom line is this; Jesus died for all our sins on the cross. He went to hell for three days and then God raised Him up. John 3:16-17 says; that God so loved the world the he gave his only begotten Son that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. You have three choices in life; 1. Reject Jesus 2. Hope that it all works out which puts you back to the first choice or 3. You can get down your knees, ask Jesus to come into your heart and be Lord of your life. Ask Him to forgive you of all your sins and He will put them as far as the east is from the west. I am so grateful for what He has done in my life and I feel it is my duty to share the Gospel with as many people as I can. Make the right choice. Choose Jesus! Choose life.
