• Question:  What happens when I die?                                                                                                                                                           Answer:  The bible (Hebrews 1:27) says that it is appointed for men to die once but after this the judgement.  If you have accepted Jesus as Lord you will be at the judgement seat of Christ (2 Co 5:10) as a believer, while those who are lost without Christ will be sentenced to the ‘Lake of Fire’ to be tormented day and night forever.  (Revelation 20:10-15)
  • Question:  Aren’t we all children of God?

Answer:  No,  I’ve heard this from people including some ministers.  The Bible does not say this.   Through Jesus all things were made but there’s a difference between being a part of creation and a son or daughter of God.  When one accepts Jesus as Lord (Romans 10:9 & 10) you do become a child of God.  Jesus told at least one religious leader that his father was the devil (John 8:42-44).

  • Comment:  I’m a good person.  God would never send me to hell.

Response:  The rejection of Jesus will send you to hell.  God has opened a door for you to escape from the devil’s clutches.  Remember, procrastination or indifference to accepting Jesus is the same as rejecting Him.  It’s not good enough to know who Jesus is.  One must personally accept Him.  Read the scriptures that talks about the criminal on the cross next to Jesus  (Luke 23:39-43).  He called Jesus “Lord” and asked Him to remember him when he came into His kingdom.  This criminal fulfilled Romans 10:9-10 and this saved him from eternal damnation as Jesus told him that this day he would be with Him in Paradise.  The criminals crimes must have been great but his debt was paid by Jesus on the cross too.  Think about it.  No crime is too great to keep you from the saving grace of Jesus Christ.

If you are still not sure what to believe ask God to reveal Himself to you.  Don’t do it as a passing gesture while your watching television or playing with your smartphone but get by yourself and let God know that you really do want to know the truth.  (John 8:32)
